JOHOR BARU: The religious school assistant warden involved in the alleged abuse of a 11-year-old boy which resulted in his eventual death will be remanded until May 3. He said that the case would be investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, he added. The assistant warden, reportedly an ex-convict who served jail time for theft, has been working at the privately-run school since last year. It widely reported that the boy, Mohamad Thaqif Amin Mohd Gaddafi, was hospitalised after allegedly being abused by an assistant warden at the school, which led to a bacterial infection. Both the boy's legs had to be amputated as blood cells and tissues were destroyed by the infection.
