Risk management is the process of identifying, assessing and controlling threats to an organization. In 2016, my risk analysis centered on Trump’s character flaws and general management incompetence that he had evidenced throughout his business career. Is that a “bet the country” risk that we took in 2016? That was the “bet the country” risk of the election of 2016. It was the “bet the country” risk of the 2016 election, and it almost came to pass.
