According to a report by adomonline.com on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, Doomson was arrested following an invitation from the Ahanta West District Police Command to respond to allegations of engaging in the activity. The report further indicated that he was then handed over to the Western Regional Police Command in Sekondi for questioning. Meanwhile, the Municipal Chief Executive for Ahanta West, Ebenezer Kofi Aidoo, has sworn to strengthen the fight against illegal mining in the community. Speaking on the arrest, the MCE said there is clear evidence supporting long-held allegations against the assembly member.
