Police are investigating an assault in Ashhurst Domain on Wednesday evening. Police are investigating an assault that took place in a park just outside of Palmerston North. Officers rushed to Ashhurst Domain just after 8pm on Wednesday after receiving reports of an assault in the park. Cordons were put up around the domain as police arrived, a police media spokeswoman said in a statement. A post on the community Facebook page Ashhurst Chat stated a girl had not returned from “her afternoon run at the domain”.
