A man in his 50s denies more than 20 historical sex and assault charges. A Blenheim man facing historical sex charges against two girls has also been charged with assaults alleging he used a colander and belt as weapons. The new assault charges have arisen from a police interview with the victim in November 2019. Police allege the offending included rape, indecent assault and unlawful sexual connection, and took place across Marlborough and Tasman in the 1990s. Harrison understood the wife of the defendant would also face the new assault charges.
