A man in his 40s has been treated at Cork University Hospital for injuries sustained in the incident. A Garda spokesperson said: “Shortly after 4am, a man in his 40s called to Anglesea Street Garda Station and alleged he had been assaulted and robbed at South Mall." The man was taken to Cork University Hospital to be treated for his injuries.
