Assault-accused rugby player allowed game time ... again


A rugby player accused of assault has again been given game time despite protests from rival teams. The Tawa player, who has name suppression, ran out on the field when his team played Marist St Pats on Saturday, Wellington Rugby game day sheets show. Tawa chairman Dave Banks refused to comment about the player going out on Saturday when called by Stuff on Monday. Wellington Rugby has previously refused to say whether it knew the player was allowed out, or whether it approved this.
