WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange insisted that the thousands of emails from Hillary Clinton, her State Department staff, close allies and the Democratic Party that the website has published didn’t come from the Russian government. Assange spoke to Russia Today on Thursday and firmly denied Clinton’s assertions that the hacked emails came from Russia. “The Clinton camp has been able to project a neo-McCarthyist hysteria that Russia is responsible for everything,” Assange said. WikiLeaks has released more than 30,000 emails from Clinton’s private server, about 20,000 emails from the Democratic National Committee and more than 50,000 emails from Podesta.
