The incident involved a 15-year-old girl from Sukra Dahanga in Tezpur Salmara Rupkuria who eloped and got married on March 3. However, responding swiftly the police rescued the minor girl last night and apprehended a young man involved in the incident. Assam’s Chief Minister has been actively working to combat child marriage, emphasizing the importance of protecting young individuals from such practices.
