more-inThe survivor in the Asola sanctuary assault case deposed before a Magistrate here on Sunday, recounting the horrific incident and the alleged misbehaviour of police officers later. “We are yet to receive a copy of her statement before the Magistrate, but the survivor has purportedly sought legal action against the police officers concerned,” said advocate Bajinder Singh, who represents the survivor. She was kept confined to a separate room in the police station and there was no woman officer present. The victims were even forced to write an apology,” claimed Mr. Singh. Mr. Singh claimed that the woman Investigation Officer in the case threatened the survivor with legal action if she failed to depose before the Magistrate.
