SINGAPORE - Asian markets were broadly higher on Monday as traders looked forward to the continuation of trade talks between Chinese and American officials in Washington this week. South Korea’s Kospi jumped 0.7 per cent to 2,212.38 and the Shanghai Composite index rose 1.6 per cent to 2,724.23. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was 1.7 per cent higher at 28,359.81.
