He replied: “The point is not to be first with a vaccine. The U.S. has the highest death and case count in the world, with more than 163,000 deaths and over 5 million cases. China’s ruling Communist Party “had the chance to warn the world and work with the world on battling the virus,” Azar said in a speech. “But they chose not to, and the costs of that choice mount higher every day,” he said.
