For 20 years, Ashooh worked at Sanders (now BAE), a major defense contractor with a facility in Nashua. Ashooh replied that Republicans and plenty of Democrats, especially those on border states, wouldl agree that the U.S. needs "legitimate" border security. Asked about solar subsidies, Ashooh said he wouldn't advocate for government picking winners and losers in the market. One issues in which Ashooh differs from Trump on is the Trans Pacific Partnership, a proposed multinational trade deal. Trump vehemently opposes the TPP, but Ashooh said it could be good for the Granite State.
