This is due to the inability of the club to reach an agreement with the players for them to stay beyond the ongoing season. The club was reported to have started contract renewal negotiations with the aforementioned players but there has been no progress in terms of the financial details. According to reports the club is a long way off in meeting the demands of the players. One of the aforementioned players, Latif Anabila is on record to have said he will play for Kotoko if they approach him with a contract.
