Ascendas Hospitality Trust announced that it will reopen Hotel Sunroute Osaka Namba in Japan after completing a JPY1.14 billion ($13.6 million) refurbishment over the past three months. Hotel Sunroute Osaka Namba is a 14-storey economy business hotel with 698 rooms and two restaurants located in the Namba area in the heart of Minami, Osaka. Major renovations were carried out in all the guest rooms as well as the lobby, restaurant and façade. The asset enhancement is expected to enhance the value of the property significantly from JPY9.3 billion to JPY16.8 billion, based on the latest valuation as at December 31, 2015.
