Gyan took to his twitter handle to announce the u-turn, which he said was influenced by a conversation with President Nana Akufo-Addo on Tuesday. The 33-year-old has not featured for the Black Stars since September 2017 after recurrent injury problems. Gyan is Ghana’s record goal scorer for the Black Stars with 51 goals in 106 international appearances. His stellar goalscoring record for the national team includes goals at six consecutive Nations Cup finals and as well as three World Cups from 2006 and 2014.
