It would also put undue pressure on the judiciary to reduce sentences of dangerous criminals and if anybody thinks the separation of powers is a reality, think again. Part of a prison term is actual punishment for committing a crime, which seems to have been forgotten in a lot of cases. The reduction of prison sentences reduces the consequence of crime.
