Ron Hainsey was able to take his wife and three children for a family skate at the MasterCard Centre after Friday’s practice, oblivious to the looming NHL trade deadline. Last year was much different for the Hainsey clan, which moved from Carolina to Pittsburgh as the final days of swapping took place. “(Heavy speculation) depends on the year,” Hainsey said Saturday before the Leafs played the Bruins in their last game before Monday’s 3 p.m. deadline. “There haven’t been too many rumours around our team,” Hyman noted. “It will be nice in a sense because once that day passes, you know that’s your team moving forward and there’s nothing that will change.”LHornby@postmedia.com
