This first-person piece is by Vaidehee Lanke, a University of Saskatchewan alumnus living in Saskatoon. Despite being part of a close-knit family, Vaidehee Lanke (right) said she still longs for a large, sprawling family. Moving to a new neighborhood in Saskatoon, the Lanke family needed some reassurance from their neighbors who welcomed them into the community.
