This week, House Democrats will vote on four separate appropriations bills, starting with funding the Treasury Department and the Internal Revenue Service. We should block consideration of all bills on the Senate floor until we end the Trump shutdown and reopen the federal government. Democrats scoffed at the Trump administration’s offer of making the wall out of steel instead of concrete. Neither Democrats nor Republicans are faring well in the public’s estimation, but Republicans are viewed more negatively, according to a HuffPost/YouGov poll released recently.
