Our nation’s research universities are one area where The United States is still the best in the world. With every day that the government shutdown continues, scientific research is held back by increasingly severe roadblocks, detours and delays. Beyond data from government agencies, another area that is impacting researchers is federal research grants. The two major sources of federal funding to public universities are Pell Grants and research funding. But if the shutdown continues, drags on, then we will be impacted much more."
