Ben Beach of Bethesda holds the record for consecutive Boston Marathon finishes at 51 and will look to add a 52nd on Monday. Beach ran his first Boston Marathon at 18 in 1968, before the moon walk, Watergate and the fall of the Soviet Union. Beach has his sights set on Olympian Johnny Kelley's record number of total Boston Marathon finishes, 58, which Beach could match in 2025 at age 76. Like Beach, Bain started his Boston streak as an undergraduate at Harvard. “I’m in awe of Ben Beach,” said Dave McGillivray, the Boston Marathon race director.
