Andrew Cuomo turned 62 years old last week [ and celebrated his birthday as he has most of his nine years in office: by holding a fundraiser for his campaign committee. High-dollar fundraisers are de rigueur for the Democratic governor, who spent almost $35 million in the course of his last re-election campaign and had more than $8 million in his war chest—more than any other candidate in the state—as of July.
