Aryaman and Arosh win 420 class national sailing title

Continuing from where they left off on opening day yesterday, Aryaman Dutta and Arosh Chaudhari of RBYC showed their skills in the Mumbai Harbour on the final day of the 17th All India National Sailing Championship for the 420 and 470 classes. The two 19-year-olds stamped their class with a clean slate, winning the last three races in tricky sea conditions off the INWTC and clinching the title, a media release said. Aryaman has teamed with US-based Arosh to compete in the International 420 Class boat and the duo have their sights set on the World Championships in Perth in December this year. There were no surprises in the 470 fleet as veteran PP Muthu and crew SC Singha of AYN sailed to victory. Both these 470 teams are now headed for Europe to participate in the European Championships, supported by the Yachting Association of India.
