The All Sagalee Students Union (ASSU) has submitted a complaint with Sagalee Police Station to take necessary action against three women teachers of the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Tani Happa (New Sagalee) for allegedly forcing 88 school children to undress in front of other students. The three teachers Thinley Wangmu Thongdok, Sangeeta Khalkho and Nabam Janu allegedly ordered 88 students of sixth and seventh standards to undress before other students on 23rd November as punishment after some students wrote some inappropriate writings in a small piece of paper. According to the information provided by the students, out of the 88 students, 14 were forced to get naked, while the rest were partly unclothed, with warnings not to disclose the matter to anyone. Apart from AASU, the All Papum Pare District Students' Union (APPDSU) also demanded for immediate termination of service of Thondok, Khalkho and Nabam for the crime. But, when students submit their complaints in the complain box addressed to the chairman of the school, the teachers allegedly check the letters beforehand and the issues go unnoticed, said the students.
