NEW DELHI: The Left and NDA continued to trade charges on Monday with the CPM now demanding an explanation from the BJP on reports that state-run banks have written off bad loans worth Rs 81,683 crore in 2016-17. Taking to Twitter, CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechury aimed a jibe at finance minister Arun Jaitley , asking him to respond to the alleged financial mess brewing in the country, if "he has completed his vacation in Kerala. "Yechury's tweet on Monday was pointing to Jaitley's Sunday visit to Kerala, during which he visited the family of the RSS worker allegedly killed by CPM workers in Kerala on June 29. Yechury tweeted that after writing off Rs 1.14 lakh crore in the first two years, "this pro-rich sarkar now writes off 81,683 crore". Yet, farmers left to commit suicide, and even identity of rich defaulters, is hidden by this govt."
