Tom Sachs is a man on a mission. And it has nothing to do with “Space Program: Europa,” the New York sculptor’s latest NASA-inspired show, which debuts at San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Center for the Arts on Sept. 16. Rather, Mr. Sachs is determined to perfect his uniform. Since 2007, he has stuck to a strict daily get-up of staples that “look good and fit right,” including a J. Crew button-down shirt, a skinny striped tie and a full-placket, three-pocket “chore coat,” which looks exactly like you think it might.
