The Media Council has ruled an article published by Stuff on April 10, 2020 breached the accuracy principle and was unfair to Jason Wang and Eden Ventures. The article then quotes Mr Wang who noted that the consignments had occurred when the issue (i.e. He disputes the claim the article is xenophobic and he does not accept the suggestion that the article connected the complainant with the proxy groups. There is a serious error about the timing of Eden Venture’s exports. Further, there is the wrongful implication that Eden Ventures was a proxy for the Chinese Communist Party.
