The former Vice President won the NPP's Presidential primaries to become the party's presidential candidate for the 2028 election. Contributing to a discussion on Joy News last night, Dr Kennedy urged Ghanaians to give Dr Bawumia a chance. "We should all give Dr Mahamudu Bawumia a chance because a vice President and a Presidential candidate are normally different people," said Dr Kennedy. He gave instances where Vice Presidents who got opportunities to be Presidents turned out to be effective presidents.
