FeaturesSwim Week Colombo recently opened their first Art Connect exhibition for Swim Week. Many of the artists have exhibited mixed media work using recycled materials which attempt to address the issues which are faced by modern society. Speaking to the Sunday Times about the event, founder of Swim Week Colombo Ajai Vir Singh explained that there is a deep relationship between art and fashion as both use canvases, which means that the two can be merged together. ‘Art Connect’ was held at the Bay Seven Auditorium at Trace City Maradana on June 27.
