Arsene Wenger was confident he would agree an extension and the arrival of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has reportedly had an effect. According to BILD , Ozil has agreed the new contract at the Emirates and has been impressed with Arsenal's January transfer dealings. They lost Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United but the deals for Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang have made him confident over the club's future. Arsenal were on the brink of losing their talented stars and the departure of Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United may have been detrimental to team’s stability.
