The Gunners have been eyeing Zaha throughout the summer transfer window but have yet to meet Palace’s £80m asking price, which is a major issue for the north London club which is operating on a shoestring budget of £45m. The Eagles are insisting on their £80m valuation being met, just like they did with Aaron Wan-Bissaka, for whom Manchester United had to pay a staggering £50m after an impressive season at Selhurst Park. According to The Independent, Arsenal have upped their bid for Zaha and recently made an offer of £55m, with £10m dependent on clauses, as well as Nelson on loan to temporarily replace Zaha. However, Crystal Palace have rebuffed the latest approach claiming that is nowhere near enough.
