The 20-year-old made his debut for the Magpies this season and has scored three goals in nine appearances for Steve Bruce’s side. His elder brother Sean already established his place in the Newcastle side last season, but Matty burst onto the scene in October, scoring the winner in a 1-0 victory over Manchester United. Arsenal are considering snapping up the young midfielder, but the Sun credits an incredible list of teams across Europe with wanting to do the same. Newcastle boss Steve Bruce is still hoping that both Longstaff brothers will sign new contracts and extend their stays at St James’ Park.
