The director of football operations position will see Garlick work in close collarboration with technical director Edu and handle contracts at the club. He has plenty of experience in similar roles, working as director of football administration at West Brom and spending eight years at the Hawthorns before taking up his role at the Premier League. When the Premier League appointed Garlick in 2018, they said of the new arrival: ‘We are very happy to have secured a person with Richard’s knowledge and experience to take on this vital role at the Premier League.
