However, Aubameyang has less than a year remaining on his contract and Arsenal feel they will need to sell their top scorer if he does not commit to fresh terms – rather than risk losing him for nothing. The new deal would make Aubameyang the second-highest earner at Arsenal behind only Mesut Ozil, though the Gunners would ideally like to offload the German this summer.
