Arsenal have cancelled caretaker boss Freddie Ljungberg’s press conference, scheduled for today, amid reports that the club are close to appointing Mikel Arteta. The Gunners are expected to announce Arteta as their new manager ahead of the weekend, though when the Spaniard will be unveiled is unknown. Ljungberg was due to speak to the media today ahead of the Premier League clash with Everton this weekend. However that has now been postponed with a press conference instead set to take place on Friday.
