Some Premier League fans will be eating their words after watching Martin Odegaard shine brightly for Mikel Arteta 's side over the course of this season, with the Norwegian midfielder having excelled on a consistent basis since joining the Gunners permanently in 2021. Odegaard has undoubtedly been one of Arsenal's best performers in recent months and has played a major role in shaping the club's title charge by chipping in with 14 goals and providing another eight assists. However, a section of those fans will have changed their tone in the years since Odegaard initially joined Arsenal on loan in a move that not everybody was on board with at the time.
