Timber, together with Declan Rice and Kai Havertz, have emerged as Mikel Arteta’s three priority summer signings. The Gunners have a deal in principle concluded with Timber over personal terms. Those terms will be formally agreed once Arsenal and Ajax reach an agreement over the 22-year-old’s transfer fee. Arsenal are also locked in talks with West Ham over a move for their No 1 transfer target Rice.
