The new season begins with a meeting against Palace on Friday night, followed by a clash with Leicester City at home. The new Premier League season gets underway on the weekend of 6/7 August, while there will be a mid-season break for the 2022 World Cup. To accommodate for the Qatar World Cup, which runs from 21 November to 18 December, Premier League fixtures will be played up until the weekend of 12/13 November and resume on Boxing Day, coming to a conclusion on 28 May.
