Arrogate And Dubai World Cup 2017: Field, Odds, Post Positions

Once known as the world’s richest race, the $10 million Dubai World Cup at Meydan Racecourse in the United Arab Emirates now has to settle for second in that department, following the inaugural $12 million Pegasus World Cup at Florida’s Gulfstream Park in January. Linking these two races, in addition to prodigious prize money, is the presence of Arrogate, by some considered the best horse in the world. Gulfstream ParkIn his seven lifetime races, Arrogate has earned more than $11 million, and his owners, Juddmonte Farms, hope to pad that total with a win in Saturday’s Dubai World Cup. He’ll be joined by 13 other horses seeking World Cup glory, none with his resume. Last year, California Chrome won the Dubai World Cup, delighting his fans around the world.
