Thika MP Alice Ng’ang’a wants more Azimio leaders arrested to stop demonstrations slated for this week. Azimio has already indicated that the countrywide anti-government protests will take place for three consecutive days from Wednesday to Friday. MP Ng’ang’a made the sentiments following the brief arrest of former Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya for leading the demonstrations on Wednesday. “It’s now evident that the anti-government protests are aimed at sabotaging the country’s economy and paint the Kenya Kwanza government as a failed regime. Azimio leaders and supporters have been holding anti-government protests aimed at forcing the Kenya Kwanza administration to among others lower the cost of living and repeal the Finance Act 2023.
