MANILA, Philippines — Livelihood assistance has been offered to the estimated 100 Overseas Filipino Workers from the United Arab Emirates who arrived in the country on Wednesday morning. Philippine Ambassador to the UAE Constancio Vingno Jr. led the welcoming of the distressed workers repatriated from Abu Dhabi at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1. The workers arrived via Philippine Airlines Flight No. Vingno, in his speech, said that an envelope with "aid" from the government will be given to the repatriated workers. A non-cash "livelihood package" worth P10,000 will then be given to the repatriated OFW to jumpstart their life after returning home.
