The Bangladesh Army has formed a court of inquiry to investigate the alleged political involvement of an unnamed officer based on intel received from a law-enforcing agency. It added that a separate inquiry has been launched over the officer’s unauthorised absence from his place of duty. “Following the investigation, legal action will be taken based on the court’s recommendations and command responsibility under military law." The ISPR stressed that the Army is a non-political, disciplined, and professional institution, and there is no room for political involvement within its ranks. “Any member of the Armed Forces found engaged in political activities will face appropriate action under military law.
