General Naravane is on a two-day visit to the region. He also awarded commendation cards to soldiers who fought valiantly with the People's Liberation Army (PLA) during the recent face-off with China in the region. "General MM Naravane COAS visited forward areas in Eastern Ladakh and reviewed the operational situation on the ground. Naravane had on Monday discussed the security situation with the top Army commanders in Delhi, officials said. Army Commanders Conference was held from June 22-23 to review the operational situation on both the northern and western fronts.
