Armed police rush to incident near Loburn, North CanterburyMAARTEN HOLL/FAIRFAX NZ Police have responded to an incident near Loburn, in North Canterbury. Armed police have been stood down after reports a woman was being held against her will at a property north of Christchurch. Up to 10 police cars and vehicles, some carrying members of the armed offenders squad, were seen heading towards Loburn, North Canterbury, about 1pm on Wednesday. No-one was found at the property when police arrived, and the man and woman were fond safe and well at another address. A cordon was initially set up at the intersection of Hodgsons Rd and Loburn Whiterock Rd, but had since been lifted.
