The man said he was woken by police and told to leave the house shortly before 2pm. A police spokeswoman said a man had been taken into police custody and another man with "moderate but not life-threatening injuries" had been taken by ambulance to Dunedin Hospital. The house has about 10 rooms and residents were told by police to come down to the front yard.
