The police armed offenders squad is responding to a firearms incident in Palmerston North, where it's understood a man with a gun is refusing to co-operate with officers. Cordons are in place at each end of Clyde Cres, in Roslyn, and residents have been asked to stay indoors after police were called about 4.40pm on Sunday. Residents down Clyde Cres appear to be still inside their houses, with children seen looking out the window of one property and police talking to residents at another.
