more-inAt least seven armed men attacked a 50-year-old police constable with a chopper while he was on his night rounds at Padarayanapura in J.J. Nagar on Wednesday. The injured constable, Rajendra, was rushed to Victoria Hospital. According to the police, Rajendra and fellow constable Shivaprasad received an alert from the control room about a group of people creating a ruckus in Padarayanapura. They came across a group of men, in an inebriated state, gathered at the corner of a road. By the time Shivaprasad came to his help, the men had fled leaving Rajendra in a pool of blood.
