The Al-Khadra Hospital’s medical warehouse in al-Swani has been attacked by armed fighters who are loyal to Libyan warlord Khalifa Haftar. Grad missiles were targeted at the depots of the Al-Khadra Hospital where coronavirus patients are been treated in Tripoli. Last week, Libyan authorities announced the release of 450 prisoners who were either in pre-trial detention or had qualified for conditional release. In March, the Global Health Security Index report published affirmed that Libya was listed among 27 countries “most vulnerable to emerging outbreaks”. According to the World Health Organization, the country is also considered a high-risk country for COVID-19.
