KUALA LUMPUR: Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob stressed during his first press conference that the Armed Forces was ready and on standby to answer any call made by the government with regards to the Covid-19 virus which has been spreading across the globe at an alarming rate over the past few weeks. “The Prime Minister will relay the necessary instructions with regards to addressing and dealing with the Covid-19 virus to us this evening, so if anything we will know once the meeting has concluded,” he said. Ismail Sabri said there have been no positive cases of Covid-19 involving any Armed Forces personnel and staff thus far which was a great relief. “Where Armed Forces staff and personnel are concerned, I am relieved to report that there have been none infected. “We have also set up a special committee to address and deal with the covid-19 virus.
